RailTel Assistant Engineers Eligibility

The educational eligibility and medical standards for Assistant Engineer posts at RailTel is given below:

Educational Eligibility

You can either have a diploma or an engineering degree to be eligible for this job. Details below:

Diploma (3 years course) : You should have a Diploma(with minimum 55% marks) in any one of the following:

1. Electronics/Electrical
2. Electrical/Electronics and Telecommunication/Communication/
3. Electrical & Electronics
4. Electronics & Instrumentation
5. Information Technology
6. Computer Science

Experience: Minimum two years of experience in the field of execution of Optical Fiber Cable or other telecom Infrastructure Projects and/or operation and maintenance of Optical Fiber Cable/equipment/network or other telecom infrastructure.
OR

BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.(Engineering)/MCA: You should have these degrees with minimum 55% marks in:

1.  Electronics
2. Telecommunication/Communication
3. Electrical
4. Electrical & Electronics
5. Electronics & Telecommunication/communications
6. Electronics & Instrumentation
7. Information Technology
8. Computer Science

Experience: No experience is required if you have an the above Degree.

Medical Standards:

You would need to pass RailTel’s requisite medical fitness tests/standards to be eligible for working with RailTel.

RailTel Contract Duration

You would be in a contract for three years, which can be further extended till completion of project and your performance.

RailTel Assistant Engineer  Salary

The salary of Assistant Engineer at RailTel is Rs.20000/- + EPF and Rs 6,000 TA/DA (in lieu of TA/DA for field visits/tours), INR 3,000 Transport Allowance. 

You will also get annual increments at the rate of Rs. 1,400/-.

The application fee for this recruitment is Rs. 200/- for General/OBC and Rs.100/- for SC/ST through bank draft drawn in favour of RailTel Corporation of India Limited payable at New Delhi. You should write your name and vacancy notice number on the back side of demand draft. Application not accompanied by the proper demand draft will be summarily rejected.
